Fragile States Index
The Fragile States Index (FSI), developed by the Fund for Peace (FFP), is a key tool for identifying not only the common pressures faced by all states, but also the moments when these pressures exceed the capacity of governments to manage them. By highlighting vulnerabilities that increase the risk of state fragility, the Index - built on a social science framework and supported by data analysis tools - makes political risk assessment and early identification of potential conflicts more accessible to both policymakers and the general public.
