5th Plenary Meeting of the National Council for Civil Emergency Planning (CNPCE)

On 28 November 2024, the 5th Plenary Meeting of the National Council for Civil Emergency Planning (CNPCE) was held at the headquarters of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC). The meeting brought together representatives from various entities that are members of the Council and the Emergency Planning Committees (CPE).
The session was chaired by Brigadier-General Duarte da Costa, President of the CNPCE, accompanied by the Vice-President, Engineer José Oliveira. The various members of the Council and the CPE were present.
The approval of changes related to Critical Infrastructure, the assessment of the current Activity Plan and the proposed strategies for the 2025-2026 biennium were the main topics discussed. Coordination with NATO initiatives and participation in international exercises were highlighted as fundamental steps to strengthen the country's resilience in the face of crises.
