CNPCE meets to analyse the impacts of the energy crisis of 28 April

27.05.2025

On 27 May 2025, the 6th ordinary meeting — 1st extraordinary meeting — of the National Council for Civil Emergency Planning (CNPCE) took place at the headquarters of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC).

The meeting was attended by representatives of the entities that make up the Council and the Emergency Planning Committees (CPE) and was chaired by Dr. José Manuel Moura, President of the CNPCE, accompanied by the Vice-President, Eng. José Oliveira.

With a single item on the agenda, the session was dedicated to analysing the immediate consequences and effects felt in the wake of the energy crisis on 28 April. During the meeting, it was also decided that the CPEs will identify best practices and key lessons learned, which will be compiled in a joint report to be presented at an appropriate time.

This initiative is part of the ongoing effort to strengthen national resilience to incidents with critical impact, promoting a more effective and coordinated response among the various sectors represented in the CNPCE.
