Strategic planning exercise on disruption to water supply

| On 16 November, a strategic planning exercise was carried out involving the CNPCE, the Water and Waste Emergency Planning Commission and the Agriculture and Food Emergency Planning Commission. The exercise aimed to identify and evaluate procedures to mitigate the effects of a disruption in water supply to the population and for agricultural purposes, and addressed the components of crisis response plans, public communication mechanisms, prioritisation of uses, and security reserves. The exercise involved 27 participants, including players, moderators and observers, from 18 entities. This exercise was part of activity 2 of the CNPCE's 2023/2024 Activity Plan ‘Promote strategic planning exercises involving emergency planning commissions and hold review and awareness-raising sessions after each exercise’. |
