Locked Shields 2024
This was the world's largest international cyber defence exercise, organised by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE). Held in Tallinn, Estonia, between 23 and 26 April 2024, more than 40 nations took part, including Portugal, both as an observer and as a participant in technical modules. The main objective of the exercise was to train nations and allied entities in complex cyber-defence scenarios, testing response capabilities to large-scale cyber-attacks. During the event, participants deal with realistic simulations involving critical infrastructure networks, such as energy and transport, but also with disinformation actions and ransomware situations.
